The Museum of Contemporary Art (MCA) and Telstra have forged a new technology partnership to help take contemporary art to new parts of the country and launch Australian Artists to a wider global audience.
Australians, who previously couldn’t view the MCA’s exhibitions and programs due to their geographical location, can now access them online and learn more about contemporary art, through a new digital video and audio gallery, thanks to Telstra’s high-speed broadband technology and Viocorp.

Digital technology is central to the Museum’s planned re-development, which will feature a National Centre for Creative Learning. This will include a multi-media classroom, a digital classroom and a new lecture theatre, enabling education events to be streamed to schools across the country and beyond.
This partnership aims to build the MCA into a Centre of Excellence in online education and give it a digital presence that is surpassed by few contemporary art museums world-wide.
