The 1 Million Women campaign is calling on all Australian women to take positive action against climate change by committing to cut one tonne of carbon dioxide (CO2) pollution out of our daily lives over a year.
The goal of the campaign is to prevent one million tonnes of CO2 pollution (the main greenhouse gas causing global warming) from entering the atmosphere. That is the equivalent to taking 250,000 cars off the road for 12 months!
The 1 Million Women website will guide you every step of the way by showing you easy ways to cut one tonne of CO2 pollution over a year and track your progress as you go. You may even save some money along the way!
